Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier has again been chosen as one of the leading telco providers by industry customers! That became apparent when we were presented with the coveted Atlantic-ACM prize for “Billing and Data Value”. The award ceremony took place during the Pacific Telecommunications Council Conference in Hawaii on January 23, 2020. Joshua Stokrocki from Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier’s Sales Team was on hand to accept the award.
Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier’s innovative Ethernet Mobile Access has been presented with its second award this year! This time it took place at the Telecom Review Excellence Awards ceremony in Dubai on December 10. Our one-of-a-kind service provides mobile Ethernet access for global sites via Layer 2. Making it perfect for hard-to-reach or temporary locations. With quick set up times, it can also be temporarily implemented while waiting for terrestrial lines. Ethernet Mobile Access is a convenient alternative to fixed-line access methods.
We are the proud recipients of a total of three trophies, which were presented to us at the Global Carrier Awards 2019. The evening was a celebration of achievement, as we walked away with awards for Best Pan-European Wholesale Carrier, Best IoT Initiative and Best Marketing Campaign. With these awards, the jury acknowledged our wide portfolio of innovative solutions, services and products. They also recognized our new Regional Packet Gateway product as well as our success in communicating our new name and new way of working.
Deutsche Telekom just carried off an esteemed prize at this year’s Wireless Global Congress (WGC). We are the proud recipient of the WBA Industry Award in the category “Best Wi-Fi Network Technology”. The awards ceremony took place on September 30 in Frankfurt, during the WGC event. The jury of independent industry experts, analysts and journalists chose Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier for its "Seamless Connectivity" approach to in-flight Wi-Fi. The WBA Industry Awards honor the most significant innovations and achievements from across the Wi-Fi ecosystem.
Yesterday, September 24, during the official Telecoms World Awards ceremony and gala dinner at the Conrad Hotel in Dubai, Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier was honored as the Best International Wholesale Carrier. The winners have been chosen by a panel of industry experts in telecommunication, media and technology. Charlie Warda (on the right) picked up the prize for Deutsche Telekom.
At the Carriers World Awards in London last night, we proudly walked off the stage with the award for New Market Innovation. Our winning solution? Ethernet Mobile Access. It offers mobile access via Layer 2 Ethernet, making it perfect for hard-to-reach or temporary locations. This market innovation is easy and quick to implement making it a viable addition or alternative to normal fixed-line solutions.
We’re celebrating another big win! This time for ‚Best Voice/Data Service Innovation‘ at the GCCM Carrier Community Global Awards 2019 in Berlin. Our novel Universal Wi-Fi Access solution was found to be the strongest entry, despite tough competition from international peers. Universal Wi-Fi Access is the perfect way for Mobile Network Operators to swiftly give their customers connectivity across Deutsche Telekom’s entire Wi-Fi footprint, including DT’s in-flight Wi-Fi network. All without the need for a dedicated platform or backend integration project.
We’ve won yet another honor, this time the highly acclaimed Innovation Award for Operators, with our European Aviation Network (EAN) solution. The award was presented at the World Communication Award gala in London on October 31st. It was a notable prize as we were in hot competition with the top innovations of other leading providers. EAN, however, stands out from the crowd as it is a genuinely one-of-a-kind service. It offers, for the first time, true broadband connectivity on flights across Europe.
Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier is the proud recipient of not one, not two, but three awards at the Global Carrier Awards in London. The wholesale business of Deutsche Telekom has just won an amazing total of three awards at this year’s Global Carrier Awards. The wins were for Best European Project, Best Pan-European Wholesale Carrier and Best Global Wholesale Carrier Data. The ceremony was held on October 24th during Capacity Europe, wholesale telecom’s largest global industry event.
Success for our 360° security solution: Telekom has once again won 1st place honors for the hotly contested Security Insider award in the category of DDoS Protection Services! We were chosen by readers of this online portal for our comprehensive DDoS solutions. Max Roettgermann and Wolfgang Meyer were on hand to receive the award during the gala on October 11th. The DDoS Protection product from Telekom Security was awarded the top 2018 platinum prize, followed by solutions from Cloudflare and Akamai which received gold and silver.
Deutsche Telekom has won the APEX Cool Award! Our Inflight App was chosen as the ‘coolest’ innovation by the attendees of the APEX (Airline Passenger Experience Association) Expo in Boston. With our mobile app, paying for inflight connectivity is easier than ever before. The payment process has often been a stumbling block for passengers interested in in-flight Wi-Fi. But with our app, they only need to swipe, tap and get connected! The white-labeled solution is tailor made to the needs of the airline.
Deutsche Telekom’s International Wholesale Unit again carried off an esteemed prize at the Carriers World Awards: We are proud to announce that this year we were selected by industry peers and customers as winner in the ‘Best Fraud Strategy’ category. Our Head of Product Management, Mobile World, Christian Wollner, was on stage to receive the award. It recognizes the great progress we have made in the area of security.
