Our approach of "Seamless Connectivity" to in-flight Wi-Fi brings benefits for all parties
The technology to enable seamless or near-seamless access to in-flight Internet has been available for quite some time. However, the take rates for inflight connectivity are far below its potential as there is still a large piece missing to the puzzle: the commercial framework to support seamless or “near-seamless” technology.
Deutsche Telekom’s “Seamless Connectivity” is a true Wi-Fi innovation that combines our unique ability to provide both a range of tariffs with the technology prowess of a state-of-the-art app, optimized for inflight use. This service offers benefits for passengers, airlines and mobile network operators alike.
Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier’s strong focus on seamless connectivity impressed the panel of industry experts, analysts and journalists and we are proud that this approach has been honored by an esteemed prize now.
Tiago Rodrigues, the new CEO of the Wireless Boradband Alliance commented: “With fierce competition this year, each award winner has demonstrated an outstanding contribution to Wi-Fi. Their innovation and execution have helped to make this an extremely dynamic and exciting time for everyone involved in this sector. We congratulate every award winner on their achievement, and we look forward to seeing their future contributions.”
