What Does the Future Hold for Wholesale?

At a keynote panel discussion during Capacity Europe 2018, telco leaders spoke about upcoming technology trends and its impact on the wholesale business.

Rolf Nafziger, Senior Vice President Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier, was one of the panelists invited to the session along with representatives from Verizon, Orange, Telefonica and PCCW Global. He spoke of the importance cross-border functionality as well as enhanced security in view of technologies such as 5G and IoT. Nafziger also outlined the goal of Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier to enhance customer experience through innovation, efficiency and agility. Some plans to realize that include the launch of a digitization project, renewal of the DWDM network and investment in outside markets.
