Unified National Networks (UNN) Brunei Partners with Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier on United Voice and Fraud Protection

Today, after the successful completion of a pilot project, Unified National Networks Brunei (UNN) and Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier signed a partnership agreement in the international voice area.

UNN selected the German wholesale provider as a preferred partner and will route international outgoing and incoming voice traffic via Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier’s international voice gateway.  The collaboration is based on Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier’s international voice aggregation solution “United Voice” and a customized “Fraud Protection” package with proactive monitoring and machine learning capabilities.

The favorable cooperation during the pilot project had already shown several benefits for UNN. Those include improved quality due to more direct termination with end-to-end HD quality, and better value protection through early detection and automatic alarm procedures in case of fraudulent traffic patterns.

Nicholas Nikrouyan, Vice President of Voice and Mobile Solutions at Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier said “We are delighted to enter into this partnership with UNN, and to explore further business opportunities in product areas beyond international voice services. Our next generation voice platform, and state-of-the-art fraud protection solutions, have shown great potential to deliver additional value to UNN and enhance their customers’ experience.”

Dr. Steffen Oehler, CEO at Unified National Networks stated: “UNN, as the sole telecommunications infrastructure operator in Brunei, is modernizing all service platforms to provide offerings with high quality and cost efficiency. The cooperation with Deutsche Telecom Global Carrier provides excellent time-to-market and enables us to deliver international voice services in HD and with the latest fraud protection standards.”
