New Lambda Expansion: A shorter link between Paris and Amsterdam
We’re pleased to announce another significant development in our ongoing Lambda expansions: the successful establishment of our new Paris-Amsterdam route, which offers a shorter distance, resulting in lower latency than previous alternatives. This news comes on top of our recent announcement of the addition of a third route across the English Channel connecting the hubs of London, Paris and Amsterdam. Today, three routes have become routinely expected to ensure high availability and avoid downtime risks.
The Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier Lambda network is already one of the most wide-ranging in Europe. It connects key telecom locations internationally and is built on top of our superior DWDM architecture, which is based on Ciena’s industry leading WaveLogic technology.
Beatrix Kapitany, Head of International Sales, Network Infrastruture Solutions at Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier said, “We continue to enhance and expand our Lambda network to keep up with the ever-growing demands of our customers and the needs of the public at large. Customers can choose from capacities of 1G, 10G, 100G and 400G.”
