Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier announces new IPX PoP in Singapore
Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier has launched a new IPX Point-of-Presence in Singapore, with bandwidths of several 10 gigabits per second (n x 10 Gbit/s).
In line with its strategy, Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier has extended its IPX network (AS 20936) with the new PoP in Singapore at the Equinix SB1 location. The telco supplier’s entire voice and mobile portfolio is available at this PoP location. With it, clients are able to take advantage of services such as voice hubbing, roaming enablement (signaling, value added services), messaging (A2P, P2P) and Wi-Fi services. IPX bandwidth is available for customers in 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps port capacity.
This PoP helps Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier satisfy the expanding roaming connectivity demand in the Asian market. The Singapore PoP provides clients with direct access to Deutsche Telekom’s Tier1 IPX network, which is one of the world’s largest. As requirements for high-speed connectivity continually increase, this move is part of the wholesale provider’s strategy to expand its global IPX footprint. With access to an all-IP network, businesses gain many benefits, including easier and faster implementation of digital applications and emerging technologies.
Csaba Füzesi, Head of Product Management Voice & Mobile Services, said, “Even with today’s ever-growing data volumes, expectations of users continue to rise, and low-latency data roaming is crucial. We are proud of the launch of our IPX PoP in Singapore, which helps us stay ahead of demand and provide our customers and partners with premium quality global connectivity.”
