Launch of Global Carrier Digital Services Portal Redefines Wholesale
Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier has launched its all-in-one digital services portal for the wholesale community, setting new standards for digital wholesale services, now available through one easy-to-use interface. The tailor-made Global Carrier Digital Services portal offers its users an enriched customer experience with smoother business processes and more opportunities to maximize geographical coverage and competitive advantage.
The portal’s one-stop-shop approach allows the configuration and consumption of all existing as well as new digital services, offering customers more convenience, more choices and powerful new capabilities. With a single sign-in, they can easily buy, use and resell services, as well as manage all users, API credentials, invoices and documents. They can also raise tickets via the portal to receive comprehensive support.

An extensive and growing digital portfolio
Wholesalers can choose from a multitude of digital services within the new portal, which is continuously enhanced based on customer feedback and requirements. The current portfolio includes Numbers Universe, a management tool that handles all phone numbers, orders, and their routing; Telekom Edge Cloud, which provides application hosting and edge cloudlets in 5 locations in Germany directly connected to Deutsche Telekom’s IP network; Workflow Automation, a business process automation and API orchestration tool that works event-driven and can execute one or many multi-step actions without the need to code; and Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS), which provides two-way voice and SMS with the typical set of programmable communications features, conferencing, and IP-based voice and video (WebRTC).
Furthermore, the portal offers several application programming interfaces (APIs). Its Mobile Identity APIs are available in two versions: in the Mobile Connect standard and in the CAMARA Alliance standard. They currently include Number Verify, which allows for the verification of a user’s cell phone number without the need for two-factor authentication via SMS; SIM Swap, which enables checks as to whether a given phone number has recently changed SIM cards; and KYC Match, which quickly confirms a customer’s identity via validated account information linked to their MSISDN. The portal currently also offers two Network APIs, developed within the CAMARA Alliance: Device Location and Device Status, which provide the location and roaming status of all registered devices.
The latest portfolio addition available via the Global Carrier Digital Services portal is RCS Business Messaging, our advanced messaging platform with integrated interactive features and robust security protocols to ensure captivating communications. The rich media includes images, videos, and audio files, allowing businesses to create messages that are effectively branded and visually more appealing. It empowers our customers’ enterprise clients to enhance engagement, build trust, and drive conversions globally.
Enterprise Enablement via Portal as a Service
Wholesalers can also manage all Global Carrier Digital Services available via the portal directly for their enterprise clients and configure the ready-to-go white-labelled Portal as a Service to their individual brand and needs.
