Expanding Partnership Activities with Moldtelecom
Today, after only six months into an exclusive partnership, Moldtelecom S.A. and Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier announced the extension of their successful cooperation, as well as their intention to expand into new business areas.
At the end of 2021, Moldtelecom S.A. and Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier signed a cooperative agreement in the voice area. It defined plans for Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier to become Moldtelecom’s sole global gateway for all incoming and outgoing international voice traffic and ITFS/UIFN services. The solution was based on Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier’s United Voice aggregation service, which provides both scale and optimized routing capabilities, combined with best quality of service and improved security.
Nicholas Nikrouyan, Vice President of Voice and Mobile Solutions at Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier, said “Our partnership has already, after only half a year, shown great benefit for both parties as well as for our combined customers. Our next-generation voice platform, and state of the art fraud protection solutions, have shown great potential to deliver additional value to Moldtelecom and enhance their customers’ experience.
The favorable cooperation between our companies has facilitated the implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of Romania on reducing the tariffs for the provision of international roaming services and international calls between the two states. The technical execution and commercial launch were carried out within a very short time period by the German and Moldavian telco partners.
“Our cooperation has resulted in increased voice traffic exchange, simplified business processes and increased profitability,” asserted Alexandru Ciubuc, CEO of Moldtelecom. “We are also extremely pleased with the positive results of the anti-fraud services. They have helped both parties to prevent, identify and stop fraudulent activities impacting our network and customer satisfaction.” The two telco players have asserted their long-term plans to jointly work on future commercial activities.
