Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier Strengthens the IPX Ecosystem with IPX Cloud Connect

Bonn, Germany – December 2, 2021 – Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier has announced the successful commercial launch of its new IPX Cloud Connect solution. It offers Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) connectivity to cloud providers over the IPX network – while delivering QoS and high security for their global data roaming needs.

As 4G LTE and 5G expand around the world, the IPX market is thriving and will continue to flourish for some time to come. With the growth of newer networks and technologies, demand will also increase for Internet of Things (IoT) use cases that require enhanced or specialized performance, highly reliable connectivity and greater quality.

For this reason, Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier has taken crucial steps to further evolve its entire IPX ecosystem in regard to interconnection, interoperability, quality, roaming and security. One of those measures has resulted in IPX Cloud Connect. In addition to MNOs, this service also delivers advantages to IoT providers offering mobile connectivity. It is not to be confused with Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier’s Secure Cloud Connect offering, which works over Layer 2 Ethernet on the IP Transit network.

Csaba Füzesi, Head of Product Management Voice & Mobile Services at Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier, said, “Our customers have a growing number of applications requiring IPX network connection to hyperscaler cloud locations. At Deutsche Telekom we are always several steps ahead of demand because we’re committed to providing our customers and partners with premium quality global connectivity. IPX Cloud Connect is one innovation that fulfills that promise to our customers.”
