Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier Launches Digital Services
virtualQ: First User of Programmable Services within the CPaaS Platform
Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier is responding to the needs of its wholesale customers and their enterprise clients with the launch of a new portfolio brought together within its tailor-made Global Carrier Digital Services. As the first such offer in Europe, the portfolio sets a new standard for wholesale service consumption and enterprise enablement. It allows wholesalers to easily manage wholesale services for their customers and configure the ready-to-go white label section to their individual brand and needs.
The Global Carrier Digital Services portfolio contains not only services for direct consumption by wholesale customers, but also enables them to provide offers to enterprise customers in their respective markets. Enterprises benefit from the new portfolio by not just receiving service access, but also a branded experience, as well as features such as price management, enterprise billing enablement and – in the future – even invoice generation.
“We are keenly aware of the resource challenges our wholesale customer face on a daily basis, which was a main driver for setting up the new Global Carrier Digital Services portfolio,” said Bertold Frech, VP International Strategy, Marketing & Steering at Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier. “It offers current as well as many new digital services tailored to our customers’ specific needs, and also enables them to launch with almost zero integration requirements into their respective IT landscapes.”
New CPaaS service: first user virtualQ
One of the new digital services is the Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS), a cloud-based delivery model that allows wholesalers to add real-time communications capabilities, such as messaging, voice, and video, to business applications by deploying application programming interfaces (APIs).
CPaaS is a key part of the enterprise enablement functions within the Global Carrier Digital Services portfolio and is already in friendly customer operation since the end of 2023. One of our main customers participating in this initial phase is virtualQ, the leading provider of intelligent callback solutions and contact center optimization in Europe. virtualQ utilizes Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier's CPaaS because of the reliable access to Deutsche Telekom's high-quality and reliable network that guarantees the exceptional quality of service that virtualQ aims to provide to its customers.
Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier’s entire digital wholesale service production is based in Europe, adhering to the highest privacy and security standards. This means that the bundling of Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier's highly secure telecommunication services with virtualQ's advanced intelligent call volume management algorithms is an excellent combination that meets the requirements of globally operating companies such as health insurance companies, financial institutions, as well as sensitive public institutions and other enterprise authorities.
“Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier is a strong partner with excellent market knowledge, great experience and an established name,” comments Jens Kühnapfel, CEO of virtualQ. “We are pleased to be able to serve our target group even better through our collaboration.”
