Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier Extends Signaling VAS Portfolio
June 23rd, 2021, Bonn. Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier today announced a major extension of Value Added Services (VAS) within its Signaling portfolio. With this offering, providers currently using multiple VAS vendors with various hardware-based production platforms now have a one-stop-shop option.
The new features include Welcome SMS, which sends messages to end users when they have roamed into an external network and can also provide additional offerings or useful tips. Virtual Home Environment allows travelers to stay connected without worrying about international dialing or short codes. Lastly, Intelligent Border Roaming prevents unintentional roaming in an external network.
Customers of Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier can choose one or all of these services, depending on their specific needs. The underlying production model is based on Deutsche Telekom’s future-proof cloud environment that enables high service quality at competitive prices.
Csaba Füzesi, Head of Product Management Voice & Mobile Services, Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier, said, “We want to help our customers make their roaming business activities more profitable while improving the service experience for their customers. As an important step to reaching that goal, we are announcing today a set of new Value Added Services in our roaming enablement portfolio. Today’s launch is only a first step on our path to new Signaling VAS enhancements – additional services are in the launch pipeline. We are confident that service providers connected to our IPX Network will benefit from these services both on the technical and the commercial side.
