Virtual event connects the airline industry

This is not an easy time for anyone working in the aviation industry. We are all facing a deep and unprecedented challenge. One which sees us in the midst of a truly global crisis with far-reaching implications for the air travel sector, including airlines, airports and the broad ecosystem that supports them.

This challenge has become more intense as we all adapt to new working conditions and live with uncertainty about the timeframe for disruption and recovery, as well as the long-term impact on the global economy.

We work in an incredibly fast-paced industry. Our operational conditions change by the minute and the implications of events and trends – from climate change to coronavirus – need to be closely tracked and studied. In this context, it’s never been more important for us to share information, exchange views, and learn from one another.

So although it’s not the right time for major industry events to take place, it is still the right time for us to convene, communicate and discover, in a digital space.

That’s why our partner Inmarsat Aviation, in collaboration with APEX – the Airline Passenger Experience Association – will host a one-day online event on April 29, 2020.
Titled ‘FlightPlan: Charting a course into the future’, the livestreamed event will digitally assemble aviation professionals: industry bodies, global airlines, ecosystem partners, industry analysts and commentators. They will be gathered through a combination of streamed interviews, virtual panels, live discussions and interactive Q&As.

Developed by Inmarsat Aviation and APEX, with expert contributions from industry leaders such as Air Transport World, Inflight, IATA, Honeywell, Panasonic and Deutsche Telekom, this unique event will cover:

  • Global and regional news updates
  • State-of-the-industry analysis
  • COVID-19: Impact on the aviation industry & key learnings from previous crises
  • Sustainability in aviation: Short and long-terms solutions to tackling climate change
  • Next-generation passenger trends
  • The future of air travel technology

There has never been a more important time for businesses from all sectors to find new ways to join together, share insights and exchange views. Let’s take the chance to learn from each other through experience and innovative thinking, so we can better weather the storm and prepare for the moment when recovery can be seen on the horizon.

Don’t miss the chance to be part of this important discussion. More details are available on the event website: https://flightplan.wavecast.io
