Twofold victory for Deutsche Telekom International Carrier Sales & Solutions (ICSS) at the Global Carrier Awards 2016
Bonn, November 10, 2016 - Deutsche Telekom International Carrier Sales & Solutions (ICSS) won Best Pan-European Wholesale Carrier and Best Network Technology Innovation at the esteemed Global Carrier Awards 2016 in Paris.
Capacity Magazine, the organizer of the awards, honored ICSS as Best Pan-European Wholesale Carrier. The win was attributed to several recent strategic moves, including ICSS’s newly released IP-VPN Mobile Access, the first service of its kind on the wholesale market. Another was the launch of the Dynamic Voice Exchange (DVX) product, which allows clients to quickly gain access to the global network of Deutsche Telekom without cumbersome contractual agreements. In addition, ICSS is a major contributor to the European Aviation Network (EAN) project, a one-of-a-kind integrated system combining S-Band satellite with a complementary ground network for European air travelers. ICSS provides connectivity for around 300 LTE base stations and also delivers the powerful Wi-Fi roaming platform that connects a multitude of partners to enable seamless roaming capabilities in the skies above Europe.
ICSS Senior Vice President Mardia van der Walt said that she was “extremely happy” to receive the award. “This win proves that our strategy over the last months has been absolutely correct. The award is a welcome highlight in 2016, as this is also the year in which we are celebrating our 20-year anniversary.”
ICSS received a second award for its comprehensive set of security solutions in the “Best Technology Network Innovation” category. ICSS’s portfolio of backbone and cloud-based solutions, as well as on premise devices, work together to provide clients with a maximum defense strategy against DDoS attacks and cybercrime.
