This year’s GCCM / Carrier Community Global Awards was doubly enjoyable for IBU. That’s because we secured not just one, but two awards during the gala event on June 18th: ‘CEE Regional Operator of the Year’ and ‘Best Security Provider’. We were able to triumph over other leading wholesale providers from all around the world for these hotly contested honors. For the operator prize, a big factor in the decision of the judges was certainly our work on the European Aviation Network (EAN). It provides the first true broadband access to passengers flying across the skies of Europe. That was made clear on January 18th at the German excellence awards in Frankfurt am Main, where DT garnered 1st place for product Innovation with the European Aviation Network.
